Kooda B has pleaded guilty for the attempted shooting of Chief Keef.
The “Talking” artist was contracted by 6ix9ine to intimidate Sosa last Summer. The crime was carried out in Times Square when Chief Keef was spotted outside the W Hotel, however all shots missed the target. Following a lengthy investigation, Kooda B has pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering and faces up to 20 years in prison.
U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said this about the case:
“Today, Kintea McKenzie admitted his responsibility for a brazen shooting in bustling Times Square. In coordination with Tekashi 6ix9ine and other Nine Trey gang members, McKenzie arranged to have another individual shoot at a rival gang member. We continue our daily work with our law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe and to vigorously investigate acts of violence committed by gang members.”
Many people believe that Tekashi is to blame for Kooda B’s incarceration due to his own guilty plea and accompanying confessions. Other members of Tr3yway also carry the same sentiment such as 6ix9ine’s former friend and manager Shotti. Various artists have voiced their opinion on the case including Snap Dogg, YG, Trippie Redd, and more after things fell apart last November. The DUMMY BOY rapper made it obvious he was distancing himself from his former associates during an interview on The Breakfast Club.
