The 15-track body of work comes with guest appearances by Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Quavo, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Future, the late Nipsey Hussle, John Legend, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, 21 Savage, J Balvin, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, Jeezy, 070 Shake, Gunna, SZA, Travis Scott, Jeremih, Big Sean and more. The LP is executive produced by DJ Khaled’s son Asahd.
All proceeds from the song “Higher” will be donated to Nipsey’s children Emani and Kross, which Khaledannounced on social media earlier this week.
Not many details about Father Of Asahd were made available prior to its release. DJ Khaled just revealed the artwork on Wednesday along with a short teaser clip and he currently has no promotional singles in rotation, signifying enormous confidence in his new album.
Khaled did recently sit down for an interview with TT Torrez, during which he discussed hard work, staying positive, being great, raising his son, the importance of family, entrepreneurship, and more.
DJ Khaled is scheduled to perform on the upcoming Paul Rudd-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend. He also just launched a new merchandise line in collaboration with Planes, which you can grab your favorite pieces from here.
A trailer for the upcoming documentary Father Of Asahd: The Album Experience has been released, with the film coming exclusively to TIDAL on May 21st along with a CRWN interview with Elliott Wilson. The streaming service will be celebrating Father Of Asahd with a special release party in New York City.
