Dave East To Play Method Man In “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”

Dave East is getting ready to flex his acting skills as he’s been cast to play Method Man in Wu-Tang: An American Saga.

It’s being reported that Dave, Julian Elijah Martinez, and Vinnie Pastore will star in Hulu’s forthcoming series Wu-Tang: An American Saga. The show is greenlighted for ten episodes directed by RZA and Craig Zisk. RZA also gets some help writing the script from Alex Tse. Producers include Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo, Alex Tse, Craig Zisk, RZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, GZA, Masta Killa, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s estate.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga focuses on the early ’90s crack era. RZA and the rest of the group are torn between pursuing music or continuing their life of crime. East who plays Shotgun (Method Man), keeps himself out of the turf wars in New York City with his assistant manager position at the Statue Of Liberty’s concession stand.

This isn’t Dave East’s first acting gig as he appears in 2017’s The Breaks and an upcoming Netflix series Beats. He’s working on a new album called Survival, which is expected to arrive sometime this year.

Congratulations to Dave East on his Wu-Tang: An American Saga role. Check back soon for a release date.
