After capping off 2018 with her first number one single “thank u, next,”Ariana Grande looks to match her recent success with another fresh effort called “7 rings.”
The song was inspired by Ariana’s trip to Tiffany & Co. with her friends including Victoria Monét and Tayla Parx following her split from Pete Davidson.
“Me and my friends went to Tiffany’s together, just because we needed some retail therapy,” she told Billboard. “You know how when you’re waiting at Tiffany’s they give you lots of champagne? They got us very tipsy, so we bought seven engagement rings, and when I got back to the studio I gave everybody a friendship ring.”
“7 rings” is the third single from Grande’s forthcoming album thank u, next following “imagine” and the title-track.
