Future and Zaytoven delivered the second installment in their Beast Mode mixtape series earlier this month and now we have its first week sales numbers.
The nine-song project debuts at number three on Billboard’s Top 200 chart accumulating 57,000 units (sales plus streams). More impressively, Beast Mode 2 was not initially available for purchase and totaled 73.5 million on-demand streams, making it the top streaming exclusive album ever. The record was previously held by Chance The Rapper’s Coloring Book, which tallied 57.3 million.
Meek Mill also has reason to celebrate as Legends Of The Summer comes in the ninth spot this week with 26,000 units (6000 via traditional album sales), which is a fantastic result considering the EP dropped with little notice and was leaked before its arrival.
Drake’s Scorpion controls the top spot on Billboard’s chart once again with 335,000 sales (29,000 pure) marking the second largest sophomore week for an LP since Adele’s 25, which earned 1.6M units in December 2015.
Congratulations to everyone on the great totals.
