Playboi Carti just delivered his debut LP Die Lit, and now that Pitchfork has awarded the Atlanta rapper Best New Album, the projections for his first week sales numbers have arrived.
According to HDD, Die Lit is on pace to move 65K units in its first seven days of availability, achieved mostly through streams, with only 5-6K coming from traditional sales. It’s also expected to chart inside of the fifth position.
Released on the same day, Tee Grizzley’s debut album Activated is projected to finish the week with 30K units worth of listens and should land somewhere close behind Carti in the top ten.
Die Lit is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and other digital services now.
