Future has made history with his new projects FUTURE and HNDRXX.
The Atlanta rapper just became the first ever artist to land back to back No. 1 albums on the Billboard Top 200 in consecutive weeks, moving 140,000 and 121,000 units (sales + streams) of each LP in their first seven days respectively.
The last artist to hold the No. 1 and No. 2 positions simultaneously was Prince. Shortly after his death last year, he topped the charts with The Very Best of Prince and Purple Rain. Nelly also had No. 1 and No. 2 albums at the same time with Suit and Sweat back in 2004.
Future celebrated the news of his fifth No. 1 album via Twitter yesterday afternoon thanking fans and saying he’s proud of them for the achievement.
Congratulations to Future and everyone who worked on the projects.
