Atlanta will be back for a second season.
This news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but FX has decided to renew Donald Glover’s hit series Atlanta for a second season.
Atlanta just broke cable television records with its series premiere, and now The Hollywood Reporter reveals that it will be back for nine more episodes next year.
FX also announced the renewal of its other critically acclaimed comedy, Better Things, which was created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K.
“It is clear to us that Atlanta and Better Things have struck a nerve with viewers, which is a credit to Donald Glover’s vision for Atlanta and Pamela Adlon’s vision for Better Things,” said Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, presidents of original programming at FX. “They, along with their spectacular casts, writers and directors, have created exceptional shows that we are incredibly proud to produce.”
Atlanta airs every Tuesday at 10 PM EST.
