Rae Sremmurd are following in the footsteps of Drake, Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne, and other rappers who hold festivals in their hometowns.
Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee have announced their first ever SremmFest, taking place December 18th-20th in Tupelo, Mississippi.
SremmFest will kick off with a Friday night celebrity basketball game, followed by a Saturday of musical performances from Yo Gotti, K Camp, DeJ Loaf, Two-9, Eearz, Mike WiLL Made It, and Rae Sremmurd at Bankcorp South Arena. The festivities will be capped off by a community BBQ with a food and toy drive on Sunday afternoon.
Rae Sremmurd’s efforts are not going unnoticed as they will be presented with a key to the city on Saturday by Mayor Jason Shelton.
“We’re trying to bring good vibes back to our hometown and to bring positivity through the music that’s brought us from Tupelo, Mississippi, to all across the world,” Slim Jxmmi told Billboard.
Tickets are available at SremmFest.com now.
