Glo Gang rapper Fredo Santana has passed away at age 27.
The older cousin of Chief Keef, best known for his work with popular acts such as Kendrick Lamar, Migos an Drake, was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home this morning by his girlfriend according to reports from TMZ.
Fredo, born Derrick Coleman, was open about his addiction to lean, which resulted in his hospitalization for kidney and liver failure back in October.
XXL notes that the rapper considered rehab for his drug problem “Hopefully I can be the face to sho ni**as to slow down an we got our whole life ahead of us fuck being rock stars gettin high I got ptsd,” he tweeted. “I was running from my old life tryna get high didn’t want to face them demons…I’m getting help I might just go to rehab.”
Fredo is survived by his infant son, Legend.
