Kodak Black broke his parole conditions earlier this year, which landed the Florida rapper back in jail, and now he’s been sentenced to 12 more months behind bars.
The 19-year-old artist appeared in court today expecting a possible eight additional years of jail time, but was able to reduce the punishment to just 364 days.
The good news doesn’t stop there however, as Kodak and his lawyer were also able to get him into a life skills course. If he completes the program successfully, Kodak could be free in about a month.
Project Baby was recently dropped from Future’s Nobody Safe Tour, but his debut album Painting Pictures premiered at number three on Billboard’s Top 200 albums list and continues to hold steady in the top 20.
