Migos rapper Offset has found himself in trouble with the law once again. After spending the majority of last year in jail on drug and weapon charges, the Atlanta artist was arrested today for driving with a suspended license.
Local police pulled Offset over for a traffic stop and found the infraction when they ran his name through their database reports TMZ.
Drew Findling, Offset’s lawyer, says his client believed his fine for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court was paid off upon his December release.
Offset will remain in jail until at least Friday when he becomes eligible for bail.
UPDATE: Offset has been released after being mistakenly arrested. Findling told FADER that the rapper was arrested for not paying a parking ticket, originally for $171. When Offset did not pay the fine on time and missed the scheduled court date, the price went up to $316. “It’s not committing an offense,” his lawyer said. “It’s just not realizing you hadn’t paid a fine and paying it.” As a result the infraction will not affect his probation.
