A new documentary about Drake is set to hit select theaters tomorrow, but not without a little drama first.
Drake’s Homecoming: The Lost Footage is a film that showcases Aubrey’s 2009 concert at Toronto’s Sound Academy, featuring interviews with James Prince and his son Jas. Earlier this week the Canadian rap superstar took to Twitter to tell fans he had nothing to do with the movie, which has immediately resulted in a lawsuit.
TMZ reports that the film’s distributor Specticast is suing Drake for trying to sabotage their project, who signed a contract with them to have the concert filmed and was even paid $15,000. The deal also stated that if the footage was used in the future, Drake would receive 15% of the profits. Specticast went as far as to speculate that Drizzy dissed their movie to draw attention to his social media accounts, which are now advertising his upcoming OVO Fest.
